We need to keep faith in God when we are in our wilderness moments in life.  Let God lead you to the safe path.

God might sometimes  lead us into tight places but instead of letting fear fill us with doubt we need to have faith that our God is bigger than any problem we have to face.

As we move into the book of Exodus we hear about Moses and all the plagues that God set against their gods. This leads to the final one that begins the practice of Passover and and therefor we learn how and why the Jewish people do this.

We continue through the bible with the birth of Moses.  As with the story of Joseph, what was done in evil God turned to good. If we keep faith with our God we will see how the hard things in our lives can cause some good to come of it.

This week we hear about how the suffering and sacrifice of Job is a scriptural foreshadowing of Jesus The Messiah and the price He paid for us.  We hear how God "sees us" in our suffering and is "with us" in our suffering.

Throughout the all the terrible things that befell Joseph in his life, he never blamed God or lost faith. God was with Joseph the whole time though and made all his trials to be something for good.

As long as we continue to wrestle with God we will be at odds with Him.  It's when we surrender that we might receive His blessings.

This week we start our year long trek through the whole Bible. Beginning with the beginning; the creation. 

Basic instructions before leaving earth?  Instruction manual? History?  None of these.  The bible is a collection of scriptures that leads to one major truth.  Jesus.

As this year comes to an end lets not look back to things that might have been but instead lets look forward to what we can do for God and with God to be better disciples.

The Light of God is always there to guide us.  Let us also be lights in a dark world to guide those around us to Jesus.

Traditions are great but they can end up becoming your religion instead of what they were intended for.  Make sure and keep Jesus as the focus in all your traditions.

In 1st Corinthians Ch. 16 Paul had to remind them of why and how generosity should be a natural reaction to the Gospel Of Jesus.

The good news is that Jesus rose from the dead and that if that is in question then His death was worthless.  But He did and in this chapter Paul expands on this point.

In 1st Corinthians chapter 14 Paul councils the church on the spiritual gift of speaking in tongues.  He also goes on to explain some of the roles of women in the church.
